Sanding Pads

3M sanding pads in super fine, fine, and medium grits are amazing for sanding clay surfaces painted with underglaze. They will make the clay feel buttery soft without scratching up your underglaze design.

Diamond Sanding Pads

My go to for sanding and polishing the bottom of my pots. No one wants their favorite mug to scratch up their table.

Speedball Bats

Speedball’s 7.5 inch square bats are my go to when I sit down to throw a batch of mugs. They don’t warp, they’re easy to clean, and they take up a minimal amount of room on my shelves if I want to let my work dry on them overnight.

Sta-Wet Palette

This may be my top recommendation in all categories. This palette was an absolute game changer for my work and I can’t recommend it enough! I use this palette for painting with underglaze on greenware and it does exactly what it says; it keeps your paint (or underglaze) wet in between sessions! I can mix the perfect shade of green, cover it up and use it again all week with out needing to rehydrate.

Refill Palette Paper

I change mine out about once a month

Detail Brushes

These are my favorite brushes for painting underglaze onto my pots.

Replacement Sponges

I haven’t had to replace the one that came with my original palette yet, but I like to keep a back up just in case.
